Q: I have had a Hayward pool heater for a few years . This year in starting up it made a loud rattling sound, so I turned it off. What could this be? I turned off the power and took the front cover off. I could see the combustion blower. Nothing appeared to be a problem. Is there another place that would have such a rattle? Please advise. Thanks.

Q: I just had mine installed, the company that installed didn’t explain much to us, we have the heater turned off because we are not currently running our pump at a high enough rpm, and we keep getting a “LO” error, does this have an auto start, any help would be appreciated

Hi, it appears to have been built in Sept of 2018, but you are missing a digit out of the serial number. I believe it is a 0 in between the 8 and 9. If so it was built in Sept. 2018.

Q: Actually can this one be used on an above ground pool?

A:
As long as the correct water flow is delivered to the heater it can be. You may also have to use a flow switch in place of the pressure switch that comes in the heater due to the water in the pool being above the heater. For help with this contact a ...

Q: Is the H150FDN for an Above Ground Pool? Other places say in-ground and others say both above and in-ground.

Hi, the H150FDN is designed for use on inground pools and spas. We have an aboveground gas heater though! The H135ID1 is designed for use on aboveground pools.

Hi, the part number you need will depend on the age of your heater. If it was built prior to Jan. 2020 you will need FDXLWPS1930, If it was built after that it will require FDXLWPS1931
