Hayward® VS Omni ultra-high efficiency pumps provide next generation energy efficiency plus smart control of the entire pad including pumps, heaters, lighting, salt systems, cleaners, water features, and spa settings. Each model is supplied with everything needed to install smart pool control: VS Control Pad, Hub, and a Smart Relay. Up to two additional Smart Relays can be purchased for even more control.

Q: I have an external controller/relay that should turn on/off the pump if it's not running thus overriding the normal schedule. Do I need to have the configuration in Relay Control for this to function thus completely eliminating the normal standalone schedule? My external relay is only on/off and doesn't have any other scheduling components.

Q: Our pump shuts off every night at midnight and I have to manually start it each morning. I want the pump to run 7/24 at speed 3. Currently the display on the pump says Speed 3 will end at 12:00 pm. How do I correct this?

Q: I had a 4820 DE Filter and an SP2670020XSP pump installed by Country Pools and Spas from Putler PA. The installers used silicon caulking to install the 2" PVC male fitting into the pump and filters threads. Your 1011784 RevB instructions on page 8 clearly indicate using PTFE tape. When i questioned the installer I was told that silicon was an acceptable means per the manufacturer. Can you provide me the updated instructions to support the use of silicon caulking to install the PVC fittings into the threads of the pump and filter system? Thanks Chris

HI, a lot of installers use silicone on pump installations. While it is not mentioned in our installation guide, it does not void warranty or damage the pump in any way.
