Q: Thanks for the quick response on the speed selection, as I would understand it then I would need to add a switch/breaker in my service box and manually select the speed. Would it be OK to just wire in the high speed setting until I could get an electrician out to add a breaker/switch for the lower speed?

Your electrician can just wire up a single speed until he is able to run the extra wire for the second speed and add a controller.
