Q: What is the difference between a W3C12002 and a C12002?

Q: I have a C17502. The stainless steel rod and cap unit "Launched" due to the connection failure in the base unit. I can no longer thread the rod securely into the base. Is there a base repair kit for this issue? Is the W3C17502 an equivalent replacement product / updated substitute? Mine measures 2-3 inches taller and the base is shorter / cap is taller than the W3C17502 . Is the filter the same dimensions for both products ? Are the power & flow rates the same?
