Q: How can I speak to someone regarding my C12002 filter? 3 1/2 weeks ago the top blew off, about 4 feet in the air. It's under warranty and the claim has been approved. However, I can't seem to get a new filter. I found them on Amazon that I can get in 2 days, but I can't seem to get one from Hayward. I've been waiting since April 17th, and I can't get anyone at Hayward to help, or even respond to me. I've called every phone number I can get, and they all tell me I have to call someone else, and they give me another phone number. The customer service is awful. I would not recommend that anyone buy their products. I have people coming from out of town for Memorial Day weekend, and my pool can't be used. This is a terrible situation, and I hope it won't happen to anyone else. I received a short reply last week, that said someone would contact me by email, but so far, that hasn't happened either. Hopefully, Hayward has someone that can help me.

Q: Outside of housing where open to remove cartridge, where filter head connects to filter body, is darkened both above and below as if there was a leak but nothing is leaking. O ring was replace. Also same dark staining around drain valve to empty body at bottom of tank. That O ring was also replaced. Why is the filter housing staining? How do I fix this or should I ignore it? Hard to read but looks like ID is 2112051100...... cannot read the rest of the number unfortunately. Thank you!

Hi, if your serial number is correct this filter is approximately 19 years old. I wouldn't be concerned about some staining on it at this point.
