Q: I currently have an inground 24,000 gallon pool with a Pentair 1.5 hp variable speed pump and the Hayward S 200 sand filter. I’m moving my equipment and would like to replace the sand filter. Q: 24,000 gallon in ground pool. S200 sand filter system with 1.5 hp pump was installed in 2019. Filter has done a good job until this year. Having problem getting pool water clean. Chemicals in pool are within tolerance. Sand was installed when filter was new. Should I change filter sand?

Q: This filter is listed as a direct replacement for my Old S200 High Rate sand. The ports on my tank are 2" inside diameter. I have a Variflow valve SP0710X32NP. The pipes going into the sand tank measure 2" outside Diameter. What are the exact diameters for the Tank and included valve? I am hoping to not have to replace the valve as it was done a couple years ago. Thanks David
