PowerFlo Matrix High Efficiency Pump, 1.1 HP (includes 3' Cord) (Open Line)

Q: I have an SP1514Z2S4EC Dual Speed Power-Flo Matrix that has rusted at the mounting plate and also has flaking rust on the motor housing. What are my options for replacing mounting plate? If I had measurements would I be able to fabricate a new mounting plate? Thanks

Q: I have a Hayward Power Flo Matrix and Perflex EC-50 combo on Hayward base plate. Do you have or recommend a union with female end that connects to the outside of the pump outlet X male end that connects to the filter? The Hayward supplied male X male union is difficult to tighten without having three hands and three wrenches. In addition, the Hayward supplied union male end into the pump outlet doesn't seem quite long enough. That male end is supposed to seal by bottoming out inside the pump outlet, which it doesn't seem to do. It's not designed to seal just with the threads; it's supposed to seal on the rim of the end.
