LED Water Bowls - Round Glass

Q: I bought this bowl and it blew up and glass shattered 10 feet away only a week after installing.. luckily my kids were not around the pool and no one is calling me to replace it .. this is unbelievable service.. very bad

Q: I noticed when I received these bowls, it felt like it had some sort of glaze over the glass that gives it a green tint. Is this to protect the glass from shattering into a pool or was this something that is supposed to be peeled off prior to installation?

Since this is a new item not much experience available as to height and width of the pedestal displayed.
