Q: Is there a buffer around the set temperature such that if the pool temp is above or below a certain amount of degrees from the set temp that the unit will not turn on or won't turn off? For example, my set temp is 84F and my pool temp is displaying 82.5F and my pump is not running to heat the water. Another example was my set temp was 85F and the pool temp was displaying 86.4F and the pump was still running and didn't shut off until I lowered the set temp even lower.

A:
Yes, it can be + or - 2 degrees.

Q: What would be the expected temperature differential between input temperature and output temperature. I know it vary under different conditions but generally what would you expect to see for temperature rise?

A:
The differential will be between 2 and 4 degrees mainly based on the water flow rate through the heat pump.
