Q: Is it easy to swap HP21404T to W3HP21405T? What is needed?

A:

It should be an easy swap. Disconnect the water unions and the electrical from the old heat pump and connect them to the new heat pump.

Q: We had this model "HAYWARD HEATPro 140,OOO BTU ELECTRIC HEAT PUMP" installed in October of 2020. Now, less than 5 years later there is a major leak inside the heater and technicians are saying we need a new heater. Is there a warranty on this model up to 5 years? It's very upsetting to have a new heater completely break in less than 5 years.

Hi, the compressor has a 5 year warranty and the titanium tubing in the heat exchanger has a 10 year warranty. All other components have a 3 year warranty.

Is that per hour or other? simple math using ohms law suggests 240vac * 41.2A = 10.2kw. Not 41kw. Please help, i am designing a solar system to power the heat pump and need these details. Q: My daughter's newly installed pool with Hayward Heat Pump is not heating and the heat pump control panel continually shows code "FS", which is the defrost mode. Water temp is +/- 50 degrees and outside ambient temperature is 60 degrees. Bad unit or is this normal for water and air temperatures?
