Q: I currently have two 1.5hp super pumps. I attempted to repair the motors (replace bearings and seals) but the motor thru bolts all snapped, so I don't see it being practical to continue to do maintenance on these motors unless I can replace the end bell housing. That said, I'm trying to decide whether I should replace the motors (the pumps are fine) or if I should just get a new pump altogether. I have a 55,000 gallon pool, and I'll be using two pumps. So I need a total flow rate of 140+gpm and 70+gpm per pump. Any recommendations? I'm looking currently at the HCP 2000 Series Pumps, but I don't see any information on the flow rates for these pumps. Thank you!
