Project Overview
In the exclusive coastal community of Pelican Bay in Naples, Florida, Beacon Outdoor Lighting(opens in a new tab) was brought in to completely redesign a luxury property’s lighting system. The homeowner had installed a new system within the last 24 months but was extremely disappointed with its weak light output, inconsistent illumination, and poor fixture design and placement. When our design team arrived, it was clear the system didn’t just need more lights — it needed better design and higher-quality components.

Design Approach
The home sits on a beautifully landscaped lot filled with mature Sylvester palms, oak trees, and ornamental plantings. Each element deserved to shine after sunset.
● Architecture: We installed 15 architectural up-lights to beautifully illuminate the front façade of the home, enhancing its architectural details and creating a striking visual balance with the surrounding landscape.
● Front Landscape: We created a multi-layered lighting composition for depth and visual interest. Each palm & mature canopy was illuminated from a minimum of three angles for complete canopy coverage, eliminating dark voids and creating an even, natural glow across the property.
● Rear Landscape: We mirrored the same technique to ensure visual consistency, using Halco’s 8-watt LED lamps in Sollos copper up-lights(opens in a new tab) to achieve full-canopy illumination. Lighting intensity was balanced to enhance beauty without glare or hot spots. The result was a cohesive, elegant lighting design that accentuates both the landscape and the architecture.
